Does Mother Nature have the capacity to heal herself?

I am attempting to research the possibility that the earth's closed environment can self correct itself through the usage of weather and sea level. If you have seen scientific articles that deal with this subject please let me know.

Thanks!

Mother nature has the ability to heal itself. To a point. The ocean seems to be the worlds dishwasher, but it can only handle so much, and it seems to be hitting its limit, as the aforementioned limit seems to be getting close.

Hi not sure how much help this address is but you could contact them for further advice and they do cover climate change and weather records.

It's about using Poplar Trees to clean up contaminated water.

Scientific evidence, no I don't have that. I think it can to a point. It's been around a long time and is still adapting to changes. We though, need to adjust as well. Thats perhaps the difference between us and previous civilizations. We are educated, but we take much. I'm a child of the 60's and was very active the first time being green had a shot. People thought we were nuts, so I find it interesting many feel like this a new thing. It is not. I could list a long list of the things my family and have done through the years to try and do our part. Sadly, one tires of it after awhile. I am thrilled to see people actually paying more attention this time round.
